Haris serves as Vice President of Policy and Programming at the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), where he elevates the organization’s policy work, drives meaningful change, and amplifies MPAC’s impact at the highest levels of government.
Prior to joining MPAC, Haris spent a decade in federal government at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, including as senior policy advisor on immigration, civil rights, civil liberties, and national security. He most recently served as Chief of Staff of Operation Allies Welcome, the largest U.S. evacuation and refugee resettlement program in our nation’s history.
Haris is passionate about building policy infrastructure that protects civil rights while advancing national security, and has appeared on national and international outlets including CNN, Fox News, and the BBC.
